Lynne Anne (Reilly) Ryan

Lynne Anne Ryan, 64, of Ryan, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at home surrounded by her family. She was born on April 1, 1959, in Ryan, the daughter of Thomas and Rose Ann (Supple) Reilly. Lynne was raised and educated in the area and graduated from West Delaware High School in Manchester.

On March 22, 1980, Lynne was united in marriage to Terry Ryan at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Ryan. Four children were born to this union. Lynne and Terry lived and worked the family farm all her life. Lynne worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 24 years before retiring in 2012.

Lynne’s greatest joy in life was being on the farm and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Terry Ryan; her four children, Brendan (Joan) Ryan of Marion, Bob (Jessie) Ryan of Ryan, Brigid Ryan of North Liberty, and Reilly (Mariah) Ryan of Farley; five grandchildren, Tavia, Jacen, Margot, Rainie, and Mack; her mother Rose Ann Reilly of Ryan; her seven siblings, Tim (Lori) Reilly of Delhi, Terry (Carla) Reilly of Marion, Ted (Kristi) Reilly, Tom Reilly, and  Tully (Chris) Reilly all of Ryan, Laina Reilly (Martha Stewart) of Mandeville, Louisiana, and Leah (Brian) Mensen of Red Oak; mother-in-law, Mary Ellen Ryan of Manchester; her nieces and nephews; and many, many friends.

Lynne was preceded in death by her father, Tom Reilly, Sr.; father-in-law, Jim Ryan; and brother-in-law, Marty Ryan.
