Mardell (Lindstrom) Jaskolski Obituary

Mardell Joy (Lindstrom) Jaskolski, of Strawberry Point, Iowa, formerly of Clarion, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at the Strawberry Point Lutheran Home in Strawberry Point. She was born on December 17, 1932, in Goldfield, the daughter of Sam and Helen (Agard) Jergenson.

Mardell was raised and educated in Goldfield and graduated from Goldfield High School.

She worked as a grocery store clerk at B&W Grocery in Clarion. She also worked at Kmart in Arizona until her retirement. On May 12, 1952, Mardell was united in marriage to Pee Wee Lindstrom. Six children were born to this union. Pee Wee passed away on December 9, 2000.

Mardell loved dancing with her husband. She also enjoyed her all-terrain vehicle, which was her pride and joy. Rollerblading and ice skating were also favorite activities. Mardell was always an active person and a very caring and loving mom and sister.

Survivors include her five children, John Lindstrom of Kamrar, Cathy (Byron) Skadburg of Branson, Missouri, Connie (Kenny) Lindstrom of Webster City, Carol (Keith) Beauregard of Masonville, and Cindy Lindstrom of Webster City; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and four brothers, Richard Jergenson of Clarion, Denny (Kathy) Jergenson of Humboldt, John (Sue) Jergenson of Missouri, and Randy Jergenson of Nebraska.

Mardell was preceded in death by her husband, Pee Wee Lindstrom; one son, Mike Lindstrom; her parents; a brother, Ron Jergenson; and her sister, Bonnie Hill.
