Margaret Louise Rempt, 84, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025, at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester. She was born on January 13, 1941, in Manchester, the daughter of William and Dorothy (Stocks) Schlagel, Jr. Maggie was raised and educated in the Greeley area and was a 1958 graduate of Greeley High School. She later attended Upper Iowa University and received a degree in psychology.
On February 10, 1962, Maggie was united in marriage to Milton Rempt at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Five children were born to this union. Maggie was a day-care provider and worked at the Howard House in Manchester.
Maggie enjoyed crocheting, volunteering and helping others. She most enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her five children, Valerie (Greg) Funke of Manchester, William (Shirley) Rempt of Manchester, Vanessa (Jeff) Miehost of Waterloo, Kerry (Beth Brumberg) Rempt of Blue Grass, and Kandice (David) Meader of Manchester; nine grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, James Schlagel and sister Marie Culbertson, both of Indiana; and many nieces and nephews.
Maggie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Milton in 2001; grandson, Cody Funke; brother, John (Imogene) Schlagel; brothers-in-law, Richard Rempt and Gordon Rempt; and sister-in-law, Sheryl Schlagel.
