Marjorie "Marge" Rose (Zoesch) Cannon

Marjorie Rose “Marge” Cannon, 95, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020, at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester.  She was born on December 3, 1925, in Butternut, Wisconsin, the daughter of Emil and Emma (Nelson) Zoesch. Marge was raised and educated in the Butternut area.

On May 29, 1952, Marge was united in marriage to Lyle Thomas “Tom” Cannon.  Four children were born to this union. The family resided in Manchester. Marge worked as a secretary for the Department of Natural Resources until her retirement. Tom passed  away in 1992.

Marge was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church in Manchester. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and eating out with her friends. Marge was always on the go!  Her family and church family were very important to her.

Survivors include her four children, Christy (Jeff) Jacobson of Manchester, Emmy Jo (Denny) Besler of Manchester, Tim (Lori) Cannon of Osceola, and Teri (Kevin) Winsor of Vinton; fourteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Marge was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Florence (John) Carpenter; and one brother, Emil (Lorraine) Zoesch)
