Mark Coty Schmitt

 Mark Coty Schmitt, 41, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024, at the Regional Medical Center in Manchester following a short illness. He was born on August 8, 1982, in Manchester, the son of Jay and Linda (Krogmann) Schmitt. Mark was raised and educated in Manchester and was a 2001 graduate of West Delaware High School.

Mark was very meticulous and particular about having things in order. He loved computers and had a particular passion for keeping vehicles clean. During his younger years, he especially enjoyed riding his lawn mower all over town. Mark enjoyed going to concerts and was considered the Karaoke King. He had a detailed list of television shows that he enjoyed immensely. Mark loved spending time with his cousins, especially Danielle, Christopher, Levi, and Molly, and held them close to his heart.

Survivors include his parents, Jay and Linda Schmitt of Manchester; grandmother, Rosemary Krogmann of Manchester; his aunts and uncles, Dan and Mary Krogmann of Greeley, Bob Krogmann of Manchester, Tom and Carol Krogmann of Manchester, Joe Krogmann of Oelwein, Don and Paula Krogmann of Center Point, Patty and Rich Wessels of Marion, Paul and Julie Krogmann of Manchester, and Judy and Pat Mullis of Earlville, Susan and Steve Lambert of Marion, Linda and Dennis Moen of Madison, Wisconsin, and David and Barb Schmitt of Dyersville; and many cousins.

Mark was preceded in death by his grandfather, Paul Krogmann; grandparents, Jim and Ann Schmitt; and cousin, Kaye Krogmann.
