Mary Emma Craig, 93, of Strawberry Point, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at the Edgewood Convalescent Home in Edgewood. She was born on July 1, 1930, in Clinton, the daughter of Harry F. and Mary Emma (Tallett) Craig. She was raised and educated in Clinton, graduating from Lyons High School in Clinton.
In Mary’s younger years she was a semi-professional softball player in Connecticut and Iowa for many years. Mary worked for Conlon Construction in Dubuque as their office manager for 30 plus years until retiring in the mid 1990’s. She moved with family to Arkansas in her retirement and in March 2003, she moved back to northeast Iowa with her family.
Survivors include her nine nieces and nephews; her sister-in-law, Sharon Craig of Clinton; and other members of the Craig family.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters; and one brother.
