Mary Lemmon Obituary

Mary Lou Lemmon, 88, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester. She was born on August 14, 1933, in Earlville, the daughter of Andrew and Anna (Grawe) Miller. She was raised in the Manchester area and graduated from Manchester High School. Mary Lou then attended cosmetology school for one year.

In 1970 Mary Lou was united in marriage to Mickey Lemmon. The couple resided in Florida. Mary Lou worked as a beautician for many years. After Mickey’s death, Mary Lou moved with her sister, Anna Jean, to the Meadows in Manchester.

Survivors include her brother, Andrew Miller of Arlington Heights, Illinois; nieces and nephew, who she claimed as her children, Julie (Dave) Johnson of Cedar Rapids, Jane (Rusty) Jones of Manchester, and Tom (Jodi) Harris of Chicago, Illinois; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mickey Lemmon; four brothers, Herb, Jim, Delmar, and Leon Miller; and a sister, Anna Jean Harris.

A Private Family service will be held at a later date.

Inurnment will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
