Maxine Lois (Nodurft) Hansel

Maxine Lois Hansel, 87, of Edgewood, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at the Edgewood Convalescent Home in Edgewood.  She was born on November 5, 1937, in Arlington, the daughter of Harold and Vera (Fousek) Nodurft.

On December 8, 1954, Maxine was united in marriage to Everett Martin Hansel at the Emanuel Lutheran Church in Strawberry Point. Two children were blessed to this union.

Survivors include her children, Christina (Dave) Hutchinson of Edgewood and Kathleen (Rex) Graham of Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren, Kristy (Robert) Horstman, Jennifer Tichy, and Katie (Nate) Simmons; nine great-grandchildren, Drake Hutchinson, Lydia Horstman, David Horstman, Layla Simmons, Brooklyn Simmons, Aaliyah Simmons, Ethan Tichy, Bryson Tichy, and Irelynn Tichy; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Everett in 2010; two grandsons, David Hutchinson and Jason Amthauer; and sister, Dorothy (Marvin) Hamlett.
