Obituary
Michael Gerard “Mike” Markham, 63, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was born on March 26, 1960, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Michael and Maureen (Burke) Markham. Mike was raised and educated in Cedar Rapids and was a 1978 graduate of Regis High School. He then earned his AAS degree from Kirkwood Community College. Mike was disabled and worked with Vocational Rehab.
Mike lived in Manchester for the past ten years. He was a devoted family member and a very active member of St. Mary Catholic Church. Mike was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a lifelong certified numismatist. Mike also enjoyed volunteering with HACAP and was an avid reader.
Survivors include three siblings, Warren Markham of Cedar Rapids, Tony Markham of Atlanta, Georgia, and June Markham of Cedar Rapids; and three nieces, Ashley, Amber, and Mollie.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Anna Marie Markham.
