Nannette Judith Carper, 83, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2026, at the Edgewood Convalescent Home. She was born on September 8, 1942, in Palo Alto, California, the daughter of Joseph and Lois (Knight) Dutra. Nannette was a devout Catholic and born on the Virgin Mary’s birthday. She was very proud of that fact.
She married Richard Ramos and four children were born to this union. The couple later divorced. On November 26, 1980, she married Robert (Bob) Carper in California and a daughter was adopted with this union. Nannette loved working in the medical field as a unit secretary for many years.
Nannette is survived by her four children, Franki Ramos of Manchester, Sarah Good of Tennessee, Jodi Morano of Tennessee, and Tammy Mestressat of California; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert Carper; daughter Tina Meeker; brother Ronnie; and sister Jolene.
