Oaklynn Cheyenne Johnson

Oaklynn Cheyenne Johnson, 26 days old, of Earlville, Iowa, passed away Friday, November 17, 2023.Oaklynn was born on October 22, 2023, at MercyOne Medical Center in Dubuque, the daughter of Kelsey Boots and Conner Johnson.

During Oaklynn’s short time on this earth, she received so much love from everyone she met. She enjoyed laying in Grandpa’s arms and enjoyed it when her two Grandmas snuggled with her. Oaklynn had lots of aunts and uncles that loved to hold and snuggle with her as well. When she was awake, she loved to take in her surroundings and be talked to and cooed at. Oaklynn received so much love and kisses in her short time here and was never happier than when she was wrapped up snug in her rainbow blanket in the arms of her Mommy and Daddy.

Survivors include her parents, Kelsey Boots and Conner (CJ) Johnson, both of Earlville; maternal grandparents, Jason (Aubrey) Boots of Earlville and Jennifer (Robert) Ziegenfuss of Edgewood; paternal grandmother, Shelby Johnson of Chicago, Illinois; maternal great-grandparents, David Ziegenfuss of Dubuque, and Lori (Richard) Stumpf of Peosta; paternal great-grandmother, Ellen Smothers of Wisconsin; maternal great-great-grandfather, Kenneth Ziegenfuss of Dubuque; aunts and uncles, Levi, Billy, Hailie, Kaitlyn, Morgan, Zoe, Kaleb, Brysen, Lainey, Cortez, Colton, Khirin, and Ivyjade; and several other extended family members.

Oaklynn was preceded in death by her Maternal great-great-grandmother, Margaret (Dolly) Ziegenfuss; maternal great-grandmother, Nina Hempstead; maternal great-aunt, Jessie Hempstead; and cousin, Liam Ziegenfuss.
