Pearl Jeanette Seibert, 94, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2026, at her daughter’s home in Manhattan, Kansas. She was born on August 20, 1931, in Dubuque, the daughter of Peter and Pearl (Margadant) Stonskas. Pearl was raised in Dubuque and was a graduate of Dubuque Senior High School. She then attended the University of Dubuque for two years before earning her bachelor’s degree from Upper Iowa University.
On November 3, 1951, Pearl was united in marriage to Aldonn “Aldy” Seibert in Dubuque. Two daughters were born to this union. Pearl spent her entire professional life as an educator. She began her career in a two room schoolhouse teaching grades 1-8. She then taught 5th grade in Greeley for several years. Pearl completed her career as a 6th grade teacher at Lambert Elementary School, retiring in 1989.
Pearl and Aldy enjoyed traveling and took many trips with a local bank group. Pearl and Aldy also donated the land for Seibert Park and they were given the Key to the City of Manchester. Pearl was a member of the United Methodist Church in Manchester. She kept active being a hospice volunteer and was awarded Hospice Volunteer of the Year. Pearl enjoyed helping at the Camp Courageous Garage Sale in Manchester and singing with the Sweet Adelines. Pearl loved golfing and spent many days on the golf course with her friends. She was also a member of two bridge clubs and a poker club. Pearl adored her grandchildren and each year held “Camp Grandma”, entertaining the grandkids for a week of swimming and other fun activities. She cherished the special time spent with her family.
Survivors include her two daughters, Susan (Duane) Noblett of Manhattan, Kansas, and Sally (Mark) McCarville of Shoreview, Minnesota; five grandchildren, Lisa McDermott, Amy (Bo) Simmons, Alex (Nilu) Noblett, Alison (Michael) Wolfe, Daniel (Lynn) McCarville; and nine great-grandchildren.
Pearl was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Aldonn in 2009; and three brothers.
The family requests that memorials be directed to Camp Courageous.
