Robert Joseph Boffeli

Robert Joseph “Bob” Boffeli, 58, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2020, at his residence. He was born on May 12, 1961, in Manchester, the son of Allan and Lorraine (Gibbs) Boffeli. Bob was raised and educated in Edgewood and graduated from Edgewood-Colesburg High School in 1979.  He then attended Northeast Iowa Community College in Calmar where he studied carpentry.

For many years, Bob worked for Dave Loecke and did finish carpentry, dry walling, and many other jobs. He enjoyed watching television. Bob had a special interest in history, especially times and events involving John F. Kennedy. He enjoyed his carpentry work and working on his car.

Survivors include his mother, Lorraine Boffeli of Manchester; two sisters, Marianne (Mike) Curran of Dubuque and Joni Whaley of Elkader; one brother, Chris Boffeli of Cedar Rapids; one sister-in-law, Cindy (Jim) Freiburger of Delhi; two aunts, Lucille Holtz and Carol Raithel both of Earlville; and several nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his father; two brothers, Michael and Patrick Boffeli; a nephew, Matthew Gentz; and several aunts and uncles.
