Robert Paul Gearhart

Robert Paul Gearhart, 44, of Central City, Iowa, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2024, at his home in Central City.  He was born on September 28, 1979, the son of William “Bill” and Diane (Rans) Gearhart in Hastings, Michigan.  Rob was raised and educated in the Manchester area and was a 1998 graduate of West Delaware High School in Manchester. After high school he enlisted in the United States Marines.

On July 8, 2010, Rob was united in marriage to Kimberly Lee. He worked as an internet installer.  Rob was a proud Marine. He enjoyed a good movie, cooking, and especially spending time in the woods. Rob was a free spirit and was always ready to take on the next adventure. He also enjoyed spending time with his kids and enjoyed his conversations with his cousin Travis.

Survivors include his wife, Kimberly Gearhart of Central City; his children, Oliver, Izac, Sawyer, and River; his dad, Bill Gearhart of Manchester; sister, Amanda (Joseph) Dudley of Manchester; and brother, Jacob (Liz) Gearhart of Cedar Rapids; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Rob was preceded in death by his mother, Diane Gearhart; his grandparents, Darlene and George Rans and Duane and Lorraine Gearhart; aunts, Mary Kay Rans and  Shirley Gearhart; and his uncles, Virgil Rans and  Rodney Baumgartner.
