Roger Dean Letts

Roger Dean Letts, 64, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2021, at the Buchanan County Health Center in Independence.  He was born on July 19, 1957, in Manchester, the son of Wesley and Neva (Nightwine) Letts. Roger was raised in the Manchester area and graduated in 1976 from West Delaware High School.

In 1976 Roger was united in marriage to Carol Trenkamp.  One child was born to this union.  The couple later divorced. Roger was a hard worker, working at Hawkeye Casting, Tredegar, and Exide.

Roger enjoyed fishing, hunting, and riding his trike. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his son Travis (Sam) Letts of Manchester; his two grandchildren, Chloe and Harley Letts; his four siblings, Mary Davis of Masonville, Robert (Patty) Letts of Manchester, Sharon (Dennis) Reed of Oelwein, and Rick Letts of Dundee; and many nieces and nephews.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Betty Letts, Bonnie Pope and Chattie Colson; and six brothers, Garth, Jim, Dennis, Mark, John, and Jerry Letts.
