Ross Vern Snyder, 65, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Marietta’s Place in Manchester. He was born on October 20, 1956, in Webster City, the son of LaVerne and Helen (Snodgrass) Snyder. Ross was a 1975 graduate of Red Oak High School. He then attended the University of Iowa and graduated with his pharmacy degree in 1983.
On August 14, 1982, Ross was united in marriage to Lorene Stamp in Clinton. The family lived in Davenport and Burlington before moving to Manchester in 1997. Ross worked as a pharmacist at Widner Drug Store until his retirement in 2017.
Ross loved gardening and became a Master Gardener. He volunteered with various organizations around Manchester, including the fair, First Lutheran Church, and the Castle Theatre. He liked woodworking and model railroads. Ross and Lorene enjoyed walking and biking together. Ross loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Lorene Snyder of Clinton; his three sons, David Snyder (special friend, Hannah Hacker) of Carroll, Jonathan Snyder of Ankeny, and Andrew Snyder of St. Paul, Minnesota;
two brothers, Larry Snyder of Red Oak and Roy (Ann) Snyder of Clive; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Stamp of Clinton; a sister-in-law, Lynn (Robert) Donnelly of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews.
Ross was preceded in death by his parents.
