Samantha Jo (Bacon) Putz

Samantha Jo Putz, 34, of Greeley, Iowa, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on October 14, 1989, in Anamosa, the daughter of Curtis and Valerie (Kirby) Bacon. Samantha was a 2008 graduate of Maquoketa Valley High School. She then graduated from Loras College with a bachelor's degree in graphic design and media.

On April 22, 2016, Samantha was united in marriage to Devin Putz in St. Petersburg, Florida. Three children, Caiden, Mila, and Wyatt were born to this union. Samantha worked at Tomy International in Dyersville.

Samantha liked camping and boating with her family and friends. She enjoyed photography. She also enjoyed traveling, especially trips to Florida. Above all else, Samantha loved her family, especially her children who were the lights in her life, and she cherished the time they all spent together.

Survivors include her husband, Devin Putz of Greeley; her three children, Caiden, Mila, and Wyatt Putz all at home; her parents, Curtis and Valerie Bacon of Hopkinton; two siblings, Alecia Bacon of Cedar Rapids and Jeremy (Rachel) Bacon of Delhi; parents-in-law, Dennis and Marge Putz of Manchester; brother- and sisters-in-law, Dereck (Cassie) Putz of Greeley, Mica (Glen) Moorman of Petersburg, and Morgan (Ryan) Neuhaus of Dyersville; maternal grandmother, Dorothy Kirby of Monticello; and many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

Samantha was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Thomas Joseph Kirby; and paternal grandparents, Charles and Jeryl Bacon.
