Sandra Kay (Lantz) Robbins

Sandra Kay Robbins, 58, of Strawberry Point, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at her home. She was born on December 6, 1964, in Fredericksburg, Virginia, the daughter of Raymond “Gene” and Wilma Jean (Kizer) Lantz. Sandy was raised and attended school in Gatesville, Texas.

Sandy met her husband, Kurt Robbins, while working at Atwood in West Union.  They were united in marriage on August 14, 1994, in Moody, Texas. After their marriage they made Strawberry Point their home. Sandy worked as a CNA for many years at the Strawberry Point Lutheran Home. She loved her pets, camping, fishing and especially time spent with her grandchildren.

Survivors include Sandy’s husband of 30 years, Kurt Robbins of Strawberry Point; her children, Brian (Krystal) Willis of Strawberry Point, Cody (Lacey) Smith of Arlington, Hope Robbins of Manchester, Tori Robbins of Clinton, and Kamryn Robbins of Strawberry Point; her five grandchildren, Bradley Willis, Brenden Willis, Madison Hindley, Isaac Smith and Cheyann Smith; her siblings, Raymond (Teresa) Lantz, Jr. of Moody, Texas, Kenneth (Veronica) Arrington of Gatesville, Texas, and Barb (Terry) Thein of Hawkeye; mother-in-law, Judy Robbins of Strawberry Point, sister-in-law, Emily Ash of Strawberry Point; brother-in-law, Derald (Jackie) Robbins of Edgewood; and several nieces and nephews.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond “Gene” and Wilma Jean (Kizer) Lantz; her father-in-law, LaVern Robbins; her daughter, Sherry Lynn Willis; her two sons, Everett “J.R.” Willis, Jr., and Earl Smith, Jr.; and grandson, Daniel Willis.
