Sandra “Sandy” Tibbott-Frommelt, 74, of Greeley, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at her home surrounded by family. She was born on June 20, 1951, in Manchester, the daughter of James and Ann (LeClere) Holscher. Sandy was raised in the area and graduated from Maquoketa Valley High School in 1969.
On August 12, 1972, Sandy married Bruce Tibbott at the Greeley Methodist Church. After their marriage Sandy and Bruce moved to rural Greeley and two children were born to this union. Bruce passed away in 1991.
On July 15, 1995, Sandy married Terry Frommelt on the farm in Greeley and continued to reside in rural Greeley. Two step-children were added to the family. Sandy worked as the bookkeeper at Holscher Motor Company in Earlville and at the Delaware County Abstract office. She was also the relief Greeley Post Master.
Sandy enjoyed cross stitch, reading, Iowa Hawkeye basketball, and spending time in her home. She enjoyed hosting weekly bible studies, but most of all Sandy enjoyed spending time with her grandkids.
Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Terry Frommelt of Greeley; her children, Kari Pierschbacher of Greeley and Bill (Jana) Tibbott of Cedar Rapids; two step-children, Jeremiah (Kristi) Frommelt of Harmony, Minnesota, and Caprinia (Aaron) Abt of Galena, Illinois; 11 grandchildren; two siblings Bob (Julia) Holscher of St. Cloud, Minnesota and Pat Cole of Cedar Falls.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Bruce Tibbott; son-in-law, David Pierschbacher; and her brother, Don Holscher.
The family requests memorials be donated to Operation Christmas Child.
