Shawn Francis Topping

Shawn Francis Topping, 49, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.  He was born on February 8, 1972, in Manchester, the son of John Francis and Sharon (Liberman) Topping. Shawn attended West Delaware High School and later earned his GED.

On August 15, 1992, Shawn was united in marriage to Amy Cole. One daughter, Nicole, was born to this union. The couple later divorced. Shawn worked at Exide in Manchester for many years. He also worked at Dyersville Die Cast.

Shawn enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, and camping. He enjoyed being with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his daughter, Nicole (Mike) Torres of Monticello; six grandchildren, Coltyn, Aleaya, Blake, Kenneth, Tenley, and Traxx; his grand dog, Dozer; two sisters, Kim Topping and Regina Topping both of Nebraska; his stepfather, Bruce DePauw; his girlfriend, Lori; and several nieces and nephews.

Shawn was preceded in death by his parents, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
