Sherrie Rae Fisher, 79, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at her home. She was born on May 24, 1941, in Manchester, the daughter of Harold and Margaret (Hills) Simons. Sherrie was raised in Manchester and was a 1959 graduate of Manchester High School.
On December 7, 1958, Sherrie was married to Charles “Charlie” Fisher. Seven children were born to this union. When she was younger, Sherrie worked as a waitress at the Hi-Ho Café.
Sherrie enjoyed bowling, going to concerts, and listening to Christian music. She also enjoyed playing cards and shopping. During her younger years, she was involved in church activities.
Survivors include her seven children, Cindy (Tim) Thies of Harrison, Arkansas, Steve (Barb) Fisher of Cedar Rapids, Curt Fisher of Delaware, Ed (Karen) Fisher of Springville, Tracy Heitz of Dundee, Brenda (Jose) Zelaya of Phoenix, Arizona, and Brett (Robin) Fisher of Menominee, Illinois; 24 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Sherrie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charlie Fisher in 2014; and her sister, Kay Hurst.
The family invites everyone to join them for a luncheon from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at The Stone Church in Manchester, immediately following the graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family or Portable Cemetery.
