Steven Paul Heidt

Steven Paul Heidt, 69, of Strawberry Point, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at his home. He was born on April 30, 1955, in Sumner, the son of Iver and Gwen (Fernald) Heidt. Steven was raised and educated in Strawberry Point and was a 1974 graduate of Starmont High School.

Steven was a lifelong farmer and farmed south of Strawberry Point. He enjoyed country music and old television shows. Steven was a dedicated caregiver to his mother. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

Survivors include his mother, Gwen Heidt of Oelwein; four siblings. Janice (Jim) Manley of Waterloo, Roger (Rita) Heidt of Ozark, Missouri, Carol (Pete) Opitz and Susan Falck all of Strawberry Point; six nieces and nephews, Kathleen (Mike) Keys, Kristina (David) Hall, Andre’ (Michelle) Heidt, Noelle (Ross) Burgess, Deana (Tom) Herzmann, and Craig (Shanan) Falck; 18 great-nieces and great-nephews; and one great-great-niece.

Steven was preceded in death by his father, and a brother-in-law, Kent Falck.
