Obituary

Virginia Estelle Bottelman, 95, of Greeley, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at her residence. She was born on March 16, 1927 in Iowa, the daughter of Joe and Laura (Thurn) Burgin. Virginia was raised and educated in the Strawberry Point area graduating from Strawberry Point High School.

Virginia was united in marriage to Louie Bottelman. Five children were born to this union. Virginia farmed with Louie and was a true farmwife. Virginia enjoyed gardening, embroidering, and attending Edgewood Bible Church.

Survivors include her five children, Edward Bottelman of Edgewood, Edwin Bottelman of Greeley, Louie (Kay) Bottelman, Jr. of Ryan, LuAnn Cornwell of Greeley and Paul Bottelman of Greeley; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louie Bottelman; her siblings, Emma (Henry) Rodas, Burdette (Pauline) Burgin, Wayne (Harriet) Burgin; and Betty (Glenn) Hartbeck; and one great-grandchild.
