Wyatt Christian Willey

Wyatt Christian Willey, 17, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at his home. He was born on January 25, 2005, in Manchester, the son of Chris and Andrea (Mangold) Willey. Wyatt was a senior at West Delaware High School. He participated in cross country, wrestling, and golf.

Wyatt had many passions in his life. He loved working on cars and snowmobiling. You could often find him around dogs, especially Huskies, and reading. He always wanted to help out and give back where he could. He was an assistant region director for the Iowa State Snowmobile Association and liked helping with Little Hawk Wrestling. He dreamed of serving his country in the United States Marine Corps.

You could always count on him to tell it to you straight and you never knew what was going to happen when he gave you that mischievous smirk with a glint in his blue eyes.

Wyatt is survived by his parents, Chris and Andrea Willey; his sister, Isabelle Willey of Iowa City; maternal grandparents, James and Ruth Mangold of Coggon; paternal grandparents, James and Becky Willey of Delhi; aunt, Jackee (Shane) Austerman of Mount Vernon; uncle, Tyler (Emily) Willey of Eagan, Minnesota; and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his uncle, Jason Mangold.
